Idiotic localisation - Google does it really badly

I submitted this feedback to Google today:

"I travel extensively around Europe and the rest of the world. I use laptop computers, netbooks and mobile devices. Whenever I try to access a Google service, it assumes that I want to use the local language - even if I am logged into Gmail. This is annoying when using computers, but very annoying with mobile devices, when it's hard to navigate to a page which allows you to switch to the language you want to use. It's downright idiotic if you don't know the language or even the script and it's very hard to switch to a language you know. Is it too much asking, to expect that you should read a user's browser preferences or login information, rather than throw up whatever language you think is being used in a given country? On top of that, some of the assumptions are even more silly, like getting German language content in Switzerland, by default, including in French or Italian speaking areas. Google is very good and I use many, if not most of your products, but this is one infuriating feature, designed by people who obviously never travel."

Did you ever experience pages in Greek or Japanese, when you try to access Google while traveling? That's one lousy feature!
